
Thompson View Residences is a two story, 29 unit affordable housing development featuring a mix of one and two bedroom suites. The building, under construction by BC Housing, is projected to be available for occupancy in November 2026.
Thompson View Residences is owned and operated by Thompson View Manor Society, in addition to Thompson View Manor & Thompson View Lodge.
Thompson View Residences Tenancy application process:
1. Applicants must be 55 or older, or persons with disabilities.
2. Apply online at ‘The Housing Registry’ to qualify for Subsidized Housing at
https://housingapplication.bchousing.org See application checklist below.
If you need help to apply online, call 250-457-7254 to make an appointment.
* Please note that, if you currently reside outside of British Columbia, you are not eligible
to apply to ‘The Housing Registry’.
3. After submitting your application to ‘The Housing Registry’ and establishing your
qualification for subsidized housing, you will need to fill out Tenancy application form for
tenancy at Thompson View Residences. You can request the form by:

- pick up the application form at Thompson View Manor or at Thompson View Lodge

The Housing Registry Application Checklist:
Before you begin, gather all documents that apply to your situation (Do not submit original documents)
Required Documents:
□Proof of status in Canada for all applicants
• Copy of Canadian birth certificate(s) or Canadian passport(s) if born in Canada.
• If not born in Canada, please provide one of the following:
o Record of Landing (IMM1000) or Confirmation of Permanent Residence
(IMM5292/IMM5688); or
o Permanent Resident Card (front/back); or
o Any immigration document showing the date landed and the immigration code; or
o Canadian Citizenship Card, Canadian Citizenship Certificate, or Canadian Passport; or
o Refugee Protection Claimant Document (RPCD) or Notice of Decision.
Supporting Documents:
□ Proof of address and rent
• Copy of current rent receipt or recent rent increase notice; or
• Copy of lease or tenancy agreement showing current rent amount
□ Proof of income or disability assistance (required for all applicants)
• If receiving income assistance or disability assistance from the Ministry of Social
Development and Poverty Reduction:
o Copy of cheque stub or
o Letter from your MSDSI worker confirming monthly income assistance amount
• Copies of cheque stubs, bank statements showing direct deposit of pensions, or
other confirmation of income for any other income source.
□ Proof of assets (required for all applicants)
• Copies of recent bank summaries and statements from all financial accounts clearly
stating the account holder’s name.
• Copies of property tax assessments for value of property owned and proof of outstanding
mortgage(s).
Additional Documents (If Applicable)
□ Copy of Notice to End Tenancy. Please submit an official form from the Residential Tenancy
Branch (RTB). To get a copy of this form, call the RTB at 1-800 665-8779 or download it
from www.gov.bc.ca/landlordtenant
□ Optional: Supplemental Application Form only needs to be completed if you wish to
receive extra consideration for:
• Homelessness;
• Health Condition affected by current housing; or
• Fleeing abuse or violence.

Housing Registry to have a copy sent by mail.
A 15-suite affordable independent housing complex located in Ashcroft, BC. It adjoins the Thompson View Lodge assisted living complex just below the Ashcroft & District Health Site.
This housing is designed for low-income seniors or adults with disabilities who are able to live independently. Each suite is an unfurnished one-bedroom apartment with a full kitchen and an outside door leading to its own patio space. Common spaces include a laundry room, a TV/Library/Activity Room, vehicle parking, and landscaped grounds surrounding the building.
